Breaking Promises

I broke a promise
To myself.
Maybe you knew or not
But I feel weak now.
So why should I keep
My promise to you?
If I can’t keep
A promise to myself
How can I keep others?
What difference would it make
To break one more?
I’m full of promises;
Broken ones now.
Maybe you will notice
If not, that’s okay.
I will continue
Breaking promises
Until I’m strong
Enough to keep them.
