Our Friendship

We first met.
It was plain and simple
Our little conversation.
But then you left
Just walked out the door.
One day you came back
I said hello.
You looked at me and smiled
I still remember that smile.
We became closer friends
I secretly liked you.
After awhile we’d just sit there
I was shy.
There was nothing but silence
My heart was racing.
You told me that you liked me
But much more than just a friend.
I said no
You felt horrible.
I told you I was a b*tch
You denied it.
He asked me if I liked him
I said yes but I didn’t want to ruin our friendship.
You told me don’t worry
But I did.
We didn’t talk for a few days
I felt weird.
I apologized to you
You forgave me.
I told you I wanted to try things out
You said yes in an instant.
We sit here together
I hope it will last forever.
then you ask me…
“Will you marry me?”

Good job. I could have used this as an example on my poem project of different poets and their own style of writing. I however could not because you added in that word…. :/ Next time try leaving out stuff like that……
