The kind that was supposed to stay

I wish I couldn’t remember
What you told me that day

When you were around
You comforted me when I cried

And the day you left
Half of me up and died

We sat and laughed
Got mad and cried

That’s why my heart broke
When you said “Good-bye”

The feelings that were there
Aren’t anymore

The left with you
When you walked out that door

My mind races everyday
Trying to make sense of what happened
To us

I love you just as I
Want you to love me, too

Before you left
I hurt you

I’m so sorry
And I miss you
